Insulation and window rebates under HRSP are primarily available through the bundled upgrade path, which requires a pre-retrofit EnerGuide assessment and at least two eligible upgrades. Standalone attic insulation (up to $1,250) is an exception on the single-upgrade path.
Bundled insulation and envelope rebates
| Measure | Amount | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Combined insulation upgrades | Up to $7,700 | Bundled path |
| Attic insulation (standalone) | Up to $1,250 | Single path — no audit |
| Windows & doors | $100 per rough opening | Bundled — ENERGY STAR required |
| Air sealing | Up to $250 | Bundled path |
| Heat pump water heater | $500 | Bundled path |
When bundled makes sense
- You planned multiple upgrades anyway (e.g. insulation + windows + air sealing)
- Your home has significant envelope losses identified in an energy assessment
- You want higher total rebates than a single heat pump or thermostat alone
- You can wait for EnerGuide scheduling before starting any work
Gas vs non-gas for envelope measures
Unlike heat pumps, insulation and window caps are generally the same whether you are on Enbridge gas or not. The bigger variable is whether you qualify for bundled caps vs single-measure limits. Enbridge gas homes with lower heat pump rebates often benefit most from bundling insulation and windows together.
See our bundled upgrades guide for audit timing and our heat pump rebate Ontario guide if you are combining a heat pump with envelope work — path selection affects whether an audit is required.
